Giclée Fine Art Digital Printing

We have recently established FARAWAY ISLAND as a vehicle for printing our own artworks and those of other artists. By utilising our design and print experience, and investing in the most up to date digital print technology, we are able to produce short runs and one off proofs and prints to a very high quality.

The process involved makes use of the EPSON revolutionary colourfast pigment based ink jet technology. This provides image light fastness in excess of 200 years on their specialist pigment coated papers. The EPSON six colour system uses their own micro encapsulation process, combining their Micro Piezo Printhead and resin coated ink particles.

Once the image, original or transparency has been scanned, the image is loaded onto the house G4 AppleMac system and adjusted for colour with the original. The artist is supplied with a final proof and the final adjusted scan is held on file until required. Any number of high resolution prints can be supplied on a range of specialist papers up to 1.5mm thick.

We are able to print any size up to A1+ (610 x 900mm) and up to 25m in length. We are also producing high quality display material mounted and laminated to order. We are able to print one-off marketing solutions for specific projects and are also able to print excellent archive copies where the originals are too valuable to display.
